Surname
[edit]Moreno or Morena? TFF, which copied the name from the player passport, is -eno, and the "official site" is -ena, did the "official site" really a "official" site (Once i search Ronaldo, google displayed "a few" official site, and there is some site claimed as official site of Grêmio Prudente Futebol and someone inserted to wiki and i corrected it)
And Official squad list of 2010 World Cup is -eno, is that an error of the "official site"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Matthew_hk (talk • contribs) 08:47, 8 March 2011
- As I understand, no. His surname is Morena and this is the official website. There is no other "official site" of the player. But, as I already said, do what you think is right. Some days ago I put a request in your Wikiproject:Football to check the info and change it if it was need and they told me to do it myself. I prevent them to something like this and they told me that it was easier to change it than to explain it. I was waiting for something like this. I did it as they told me, and now it has been reverse as I thought. In es:WP the surname is properly writting. But, again, as you wish. I will not discuss for a letter. --Andreateletrabajo (talk) 11:31, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
- And, yes. FIFA can be wrong. They´re humans and several times make mistakes, specially when the origin of the surname is not english. --Andreateletrabajo (talk) 11:38, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
4 vs 1. FIFA, TFF, CBF, fenerbahce use Moreno. May be it is the error of that site. (And that site just claimed it is a official site/under license from the player). Matthew_hk tc 18:48, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
5 vs 1. I don't think fenerbahce would submit a wrong name to UEFA or submit an application without a photocopy of a passport. Here is the UEFA letter. Matthew_hk tc 19:05, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
- This interview to Diego's mother states that her name is Diana Morena. --NaBUru38 (talk) 02:12, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
We need a reliable source stating that he now plays for Paris Saint Germain rather than Fenerbahçe and backing up the statement "On August 27 2011, Fenerbahçe SK has announced that Diego Lugano will be joining Paris St. Germain". I checked four other language Wikipedias (Spanish, French, Turkish, and German), and they don't have a source either. Three of them still say Fenerbahçe and Turkish says PSG. — Jeff G. ツ 01:39, 27 August 2011 (UTC)

Orphaned references in Diego Lugano
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Diego Lugano's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
